1947 American LaFrance 750 gpm Pumper
Our 1947 American LaFrance engine could accommodate the driver, the officer, two firefighters in the jump seats, and three firefighters on the rear step. A convertible top over the cab was a new luxury. It had a gas engine, 4-speed manual transmission with double-low, a 500-gallon water tank, and a pumping capacity of 750 gpm. The apparatus was fully equipped with 1,000 feet of 2½” hose, 20’ of hard suction hose for drafting, ladders, pike poles, nozzles, extinguishers, and turnout gear. It was in service until 1970.
